“ANIMALS FOR EXCHANGE” CLASS ARE ALLOWED
ON THE SHOW PREMISES.
IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE NCS,
PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHINCHILLAS TO THE NATIONAL SHOW.
1.
Directions - (From M6 Junction 12)
· Leave at Junction 12 and take A5
signposted Cannock, heading South-East.
· After approximately 2.5 miles you
will reach a junction with a public house called the FOUR CROSSES. Turn
RIGHT at these crossroads, signposted “Calf
Heath”, now heading West.
· Follow “Straight Mile Road” for
approximately 2 miles, passing over the canal bridge and round a tight bend
and you will arrive at the hall on your left hand side.
Please
complete the enclosed entry form before you arrive and hand it to the
registrars as soon as possible, along with the correct monies. You will be
told when your cage cards are ready for collection. This should speed up
the entry process and save any unnecessary queuing. Please note that
membership cards must be produced when entering animals. Registration of
animals from 9.30am to 10.30am NO LATE ENTRIES
ACCEPTED. ALL animals to be benched by 10.45am. Judging to commence at
11.00am
Judging
of the Young Standard Females class will start at 11.00am prompt, with the
judge commenting on the ribbon winners only. The 1st and 2nd ribbon winners
will be held under the ‘specials lights’ until their judging
has been completed, when they will be returned to the benches.
Grooming
will be conducted in the main hall at ground level, in on of the areas to
the side of the stage, and on the stage itself. Use of the mezzanine is to
be avoided and used only at your own risk (stairs are a hazard when
carrying animals). It is the responsibility of each and every person
grooming to return the hall to the condition in which you find it immediately
after grooming – be clean and tidy! A steward will collect the
animals once they are ready for benching. For the duration of the show, no
members (other than official stewards) are permitted to go into the
benching area, which will be situated behind the judging table.
Will
all previous winners of the 2010 trophies please ensure that they are cleaned
and returned either on the day of the show, or preferably, arrange
for them to be sent / collected and forwarded to the NCS Chairman. We will
again have Engraved Crystal Glassware for the six group winners, and also
for the Show Champion and Reserve Show Champion. These trophies are to be
kept by the winners, and will be displayed with the National Show Trophies.
All novice
members can enter the National Show main classes without giving up their
novice status.
Refreshments
in the morning and throughout the day will be available, including a buffet
lunch of sandwiches and savouries available for £3.50 per plate.
There
will be a raffle in aid of NCS Club Funds, and the donation of prizes will
be most appreciated.
Limited
space available for trade stands so please contact the Show Member if you
wish to have a display.
10.
Animals For Sale
/ Animals For Exchange
There
will be a notice board at the side of the hall near the refreshment bar for
exhibitors wishing to offer animals for sale which are entered into the
show. To make prior notification of animals being exchanged (not for
exhibition), please notify the Show Member, Ron Gardner on 01526 833630.
This must be done the day before the show. At the NCS National Show, all
members must show in the main show classes, there is no assessment bench. NO
CHINCHILLAS OTHER THAN THOSE ENTERED INTO THE MAIN SHOW OR ENTERED INTO THE
‘ANIMALS FOR EXCHANGE’ CLASS ARE ALLOWED ONTO THE SHOW PREMISES.
11.
Collection Of Animals
Only
official stewards may handle the animals, or be permitted into the benching
area behind the show table. At the end of the show, please hand your cage
card receipts to a steward, and wait for your chinchillas to be passed to
you. NO animals will be collected until after the presentation of the
results, including animals entered into the exchange class.
